A Little about Sedona.....
Through time, Sedona has been the host to many different tribes of people including Native Americans, the military, pioneers, artists, movie stars, and of course you and me. No matter who you are the red rock experience will not leave you untouched. Some even call it red rock fever, a fever that causes people to give up their lives elsewhere and move to Sedona!

The trails of Sedona have very few long steady climbs. Instead we have lots of roller coaster terrain that weaves through desert washes, around trees and cactus. Nearly every trail has some steps, ledges, and freeride opportunities. When you need a snack break, there are hundreds of beautiful spots to take in the views and snap some pictures.

Weather
Fall is a wonderful time to visit Sedona! The temperatures begin to cool, the leaves begin to turn in Oak Creek and there are generally fewer other tourists.

Winter in Sedona is cool but not quite cold, down to the 30s at night and 40-60 during the day. Snow does fall here but usually melts off during the day. This can leave the trails muddy and unusable. However, this slow melting snow can form some spectacular water falls in Oak Creek Canyon. January is the slowest month for tourism.

Spring in the high desert is quite lively. The variety of cactus and wild flowers is exceptional. Whether you want to be out in the morning, afternoon, or night the temperature will be enjoyable. Tourism starts picking up in this season.

Summers in Sedona start off very hot and dry, up to 110. As we approach mid to late summer the afternoon monsoons bring cooling rain and quite a lightening show! When the heat gets to be too much all you have to do is drive 1/2 hour north to Flagstaff where you can cool off. This season is the busiest for tourism.
